‘House of Sloth’ (2023) was an installation made within the context of the ‘Terug Naar Het Begin’ festival, in a picturesque church in the village of Solwerd. It depicts a huge pink elephant surrounded by red pillows on which people could sit down, as well as a variety of sloths hanging around the elephant. The elephant made a slow snoring sound as well during the day. Based on the capital sin of Sloth, I wanted people to give in to this sin a little bit and relax by the side of the elephant.
